How Rotary Became the Heart and Soul of Polio Eradication
The true and amazing story of how Rotary became a leader in the quest to eradicate polio is virtually unknown to most Rotarians. Rotary declared our intention to eradicate polio in 1985, and today, thirty-three years later, an entire generation of Rotarians gladly supports Polio Plus without knowing our own history.
We are proud to announce a new film, called Dare to Dream: How Rotary Became the Heart and Soul of Polio Eradication. This 56-minute documentary will educate Rotarians about the legacy of brilliant and courageous Rotary leaders. It will inspire club members to share the story of our extraordinary progress in eradicating polio and motivate them to continue to financially support Polio Plus. Just as importantly, it will entertain Rotarians, and non-Rotarians, with an amazing story that is surprisingly full of drama and surprises.
All net proceeds from movie purchases will be donated to Polio Plus. The film can be purchased for $25.00 and $18.75 will be contributed to the Rotary Foundation’s polio eradication efforts.
If you want to download the movie to your hard drive instead of streaming it from the Internet, follow the instructions to purchase and then "Watch Movie". Once the movie begins playing, you will see a prompt to download the movie at the bottom of the movie player. We suggest you choose the 1080p format.
